piano

Here are some recordings I’ve done on the piano over the years. I haven’t yet been fortunate enough to record on professional equipment, but the recordings I did in Colorado were on pretty good equipment for a home studio.

December, 2001
Teacher: Andrew Cooperstock

  1. Johannes Brahms - Intermezzo in A Major, Op. 118 No. 2
  2. Franz Liszt - Sposalizio
  3. Alberto Ginastera - Danza del Viejo Boyero
  4. Alberto Ginastera - Danza de la Moza Donosa
  5. Alberto Ginastera - Danza del Gaucho Matrero

Grinnell College (1998) - These live recordings went from tape to wav to MP3, so they’re not great sound quality.
Teacher: Eugene Gaub

  1. Rachmaninoff - Prelude in b minor, Op. 32, No. 10
  2. Rachmaninoff - Prelude in D Major, Op. 32, No. 4

Rice University (1996, 1997) - no recordings available
Teacher: Jeanne Kierman Fischer

High School (1995, 1996) - These went mostly from DAT to tape to wav to MP3, so they’re not great sound quality either.
Teacher: Cathryn O’Donovan

  1. J.S.Bach - Prelude No. 20 in a minor, BWV 865
  2. Chopin - Nocturne in b flat minor, Op. 9, No. 1
  3. Schumann - Aufschwung ("Soaring")
  4. Gershwin - Prelude No. 1
  5. Shostakovich - Concerto No. 2 in F Major, 1st Mvt. (with the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra)
